Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 24, 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to registrations and purchases made through the NAVAC Training Store, operated by North Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps (“NAVAC”). By registering for a course or completing a purchase, you agree to these terms.

Course Registration

Course registration is subject to availability. A registration is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed and a confirmation has been issued.

Participants are responsible for providing accurate contact and registration information. Course-related notices will be sent using the information provided during registration.

Course Requirements

Some courses may have age restrictions, prerequisites, required certifications, pre-course assignments, identification requirements, or attendance requirements. Participants are responsible for reviewing and completing all stated requirements.

Failure to meet a course requirement may prevent participation or certification and may not qualify the participant for a refund.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of registration unless other arrangements have been approved by NAVAC. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change without notice. A price change will not affect a previously confirmed registration.

Cancellations, Transfers, and Refunds

Cancellation, transfer, and refund eligibility is governed by the policy displayed with the applicable course or provided in the registration confirmation.

Participants who cannot attend should contact NAVAC Training as soon as possible. Refunds and transfers are not guaranteed after a course has begun, after course materials have been issued or accessed, or when a participant fails to attend.

NAVAC may cancel or reschedule a course because of low enrollment, instructor availability, severe weather, an emergency, or circumstances beyond its control. When NAVAC cancels a course, registered participants will be offered a transfer, course credit, or refund of the applicable registration fee.

NAVAC is not responsible for travel, lodging, lost wages, childcare, or other expenses resulting from a cancellation or schedule change.

Attendance and Conduct

Participants are expected to arrive on time, attend all required portions of the course, follow instructor directions, and maintain professional and respectful conduct.

NAVAC may remove a participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, threatening, dishonest, or inconsistent with course standards. Removal for misconduct may result in the loss of registration fees and certification eligibility.

Certification

Registration and attendance do not guarantee successful course completion or certification. Participants must satisfy all attendance, skills, written examination, and performance requirements established by NAVAC and the applicable certifying organization.

Certification cards or completion documents will be issued only after all requirements have been met.

Health, Safety, and Physical Participation

Training may include hands-on activities, physical movement, simulated emergency situations, and the use of training equipment. Participants should notify the instructor before class if they require a reasonable accommodation or have a condition that may affect safe participation.

Participants are responsible for following all safety instructions and participating within their abilities.

Training Materials

Course materials, presentations, graphics, videos, examinations, and other content may be protected by copyright or licensing restrictions. They may not be copied, recorded, distributed, published, or used commercially without authorization.

Limitation of Liability

NAVAC provides training for educational and certification purposes. Training does not replace professional medical judgment, organizational policies, applicable laws, or current clinical protocols.

To the extent permitted by law, NAVAC is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from course participation, schedule changes, website interruptions, or the use of information presented during training.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

Privacy

Information submitted through the Training Store will be used to process registrations, communicate about courses, maintain required training records, and support related administrative functions. Information may also be shared with an applicable certifying organization when necessary to issue or verify course credentials.

Changes to These Terms

NAVAC may revise these Terms and Conditions when necessary. The version in effect when a registration is completed will apply to that registration unless a change is required by law or a certifying organization.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
